POSITION SUMMARY

The Server ensures that all guests are provided with exceptional service and hospitality, while participating in team work and ongoing sidework according to standard of Hof’s Hut. The Server has extensive knowledge in all aspects of the food and drink menu and is able to assist guests with menu and drink selections.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Provides friendly and legal alcohol and food service to all guests.
2. Contributes and excels in team service environment.
3. Memorizes, recites and promotes all menu items.
4. Performs all steps of service.
5. Follows cash handling policies.
6. Performs opening, on-going, and closing sidework duties.
7. Follows and understands all company procedures and policies.
8. Has basic beer, wine, and liquor knowledge.
9. Maintains professional appearance at all times, clean and well groomed as per standards.
10. Maintains proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards while preparing, serving and cleaning up food.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must be 18 or older.
2. Ability to speak, read, and write English.
3. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Basic math skills with ability to handle cash.
5. Basic computer skills; able to use and understand the restaurant’s POS system.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively with a team.
7. Ability to maintain an upbeat, outgoing and positive demeanor.
8. Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
9. Must have basic knowledge of beer, wine and spirits.
10. Ability to carry and balance plates and trays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
2. Continuous use of hands and arms.
3. Ability to be on your feet for an extended period of time
