GENERAL POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you passionate about sales and eager to make an impact in the shipping and logistics industry? HMM America Shipping Agency, Inc is looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales Executive to join our team. The Account Executive is an outside sales position responsible for selling HMM’s transportation services to customers within the designated geography. The primary responsibility is to develop customer business relationships both with the existing account base and develop new accounts in order to secure business for the import/export trade lanes as assigned

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our client base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to understand their needs and provide customized solutions.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of customer shipments and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and market developments to remain competitive and drive business growth.

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven track record of success in sales, with experience in the shipping or logistics industry preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively articulate value propositions to clients.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on achieving sales targets and objectives.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for exceeding customer expectations and driving business growth.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
  • Must have a driver's license and car which meets company standards
  • Must also be willing to travel outside the territory when required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in related field
  • Must have proven sales track record in transportation and logistics
  • At least 4 years in sales or management role
