Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility is Hiring an Associate, Digital Communications Near Washington, DC

The Associate will create written, graphic, and video assets for multi-channel communications and marketing. The Associate will coordinate the analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's website, involving text, graphics, forms, multimedia, and other technologies; and manage HACR’s presence on social media platforms.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains and updates existing website; designs, implements, and maintains subsites using WordPress and Wix.
  • Manages functionality of the website, creates and implements testing procedures for the sites, and collaborates with other team members to resolve issues.
  • Documents presence of organization at events, conferences, and speaking engagements through digital means.
  • Creates copy, images, and video for existing social media accounts (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok), including content discovery and adaptation for the different platforms.
  • Throughout social media accounts, ensure that content is consistent with branding standards and style guide.
  • Implements social media strategies to communicate with and grow the organization’s core audience.
  • Builds and sustains online communities ensuring consistent framing of messages.
  • Designs, creates, and manages promotions and social ad campaigns, being sure to integrate with organization’s overall marketing campaign plan and channels.
  • Monitors trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy.
  • Publishes videos and photography on organization’s social media platforms.
  • Provides digital media support for internal photo and video library, including responding to image requests, and light photo editing via PhotoShop.
  • Works with senior team to develop digital communications strategy and to ensure it is consistent and reflects the organization’s strategic vision.
  • Work collaboratively to support the HACR staff to maintain branding throughout the organization's communications efforts, including editing and approving the organization's newsletters, blogs, and other materials.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent, one to three years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
  • Demonstrated CMS expertise, strong multi-media writing and editing skills, and experience with photo and video editing.
  • Professional demeanor, including email etiquette.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving capabilities and project management skills are required.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including all HACR events and organizational events.
  • Proficiency in Spanish, a plus
