Body Shop Technician
Responsibilities:
Ensure an extraordinary client experience while creating client advocates. To perform all frame, metal repairs and interior repairs on collision damaged vehicles consigned to the Body Shop.
- Operating knowledge in measuring systems Car-O-Liner.
- Diagnose and repairs unibody structural damage.
- Diagnose and repairs full frame vehicles.
- Repair vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
- Check parts against estimate and ensure proper parts are ordered and received.
- Prepare vehicles for body repair work.
- Notify management of any additional repairs needed. Documents and additional parts and labor required to perform a satisfactory repair.
- Notify management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
- Maintain and wear all required safety and health personal equipment.
- Replace/Repair body panels.
- Remove and reinstall interiors.
- Know and understand the Company’s Privacy and Information Security Policies and adhere to the requirements.
- Attend department meetings.
- Maintain clean work area.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be on your feet for three or more hours at a time.
Qualifications:
- Verifiable references
- Certificate from Vocational School in Collision is a definite plus.
- Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged vehicles including body work and when to replace or repair parts.
- Ability to read and follow instructions on repair/estimate orders.
- Other duties may be assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least eighteen years of age.
