Location: Suburb north of downtown Atlanta

Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000 (depending on experience) potential bonus

Job Overview

We are searching for a seasoned and results-oriented Accounting Manager to join a growing insurance company. In this leadership role, you will oversee various financial operations tasks, supporting this business's continued success. 

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of accounting practices and ensure adherence to GAAP.
• Lead the transition from cash basis to accrual accounting.
• Manage and analyze financial data to support informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations) to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare for external audits and liaise with auditors as needed.
• Provide guidance and support to the accounting staff.
• Manage and delegate tasks to ensure efficient workflow within the accounting department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 years of advanced accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in accounting software (experience with GAAP is a plus).
• Experience with financial data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs.
• Insurance experience (particularly MGA operations) is highly preferred.
