Location: Chicago or Rolling Meadows, IL

Work Arrangement: Onsite (With potential to go Hybrid)

Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 (commensurate with experience)

Role Overview

As a Construction Underwriter specializing in construction insurance, you will play a pivotal role in their organization's growth trajectory. This position offers the potential for advancement into leadership roles as we continue to expand our operations. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and underwrite a high volume of construction insurance accounts with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with assistant underwriters and operational support teams to streamline processes and ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements to inform underwriting decisions.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders to drive business growth and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of underwriting strategies to achieve company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in underwriting, preferably within the construction insurance sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully underwriting complex accounts and managing high volume workflows.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to assess risk effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
