The Role
Identifies, develops, and implements near-term and long-term business strategies relating to the development of new products, technologies, services, follow-on products, and/or industries. Identifies markets, licensing opportunities, and determines the feasibility of business and product development. Performs economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities. Develops business models and determines market trends to substantiate long-term prospects. Coordinates with internal departments in identifying and implementing business development projects. May work with sales, marketing and potential customers to determine their needs. Develops and disseminates information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.
The growing SSN(X) Program Office is seeking a highly energetic and self-starter to join the dynamic SSN(X) Program Office. The successful candidate will have an acute attention to detail with in-depth experience developing and reviewing project plans and associated performance tracking metrics with strong computer skills (Microsoft Office products). Be able to conduct performance analysis, trend analysis and variance analysis to identify performance pressure points.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
Nice to Have
  • Have a strong ability to communicate to all levels of leadership. Possess the necessary verbal and written communication skills to successfully interface with various organizations throughout the company (and various job levels within those organizations).
  • The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to build teams with internal/external customers and within their own organization.
  • Be able coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
  • In depth experience in developing business strategies for program longevity and success.
  • Demonstrate proficiency shaping an overall business strategy, developing strategic plans and assessing company performance.
  • Ability to conduct research and data analysis to inform business decisions.
  • The preferred candidate will have direct experience in Submarine Program Management, as well as knowledge of submarine systems, operation, and construction.
  • Have an active security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
