PRODUCTION (CLEAN ROOM) OPERATOR I
2nd Shift
DEPARTMENT: Production
REPORT TO: Production Supervisor
FLSA: Non-exempt
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for utilizing tools and chemicals to remove dirt, grease, dust and debris that have accumulated on the honeycomb product during the manufacturing and modification processes. The cleaning techniques that are applied are customer specific. In addition, this position is required to comply with all safety protocols to complete daily tasks at all times. It requires visual acuity and attention to detail to perform this task.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under direction of the Production Supervisorthe duties of this position include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
The following duties and responsibilities apply to all Clean room Operators:
Understand and follow Hi Tech Honeycomb’s Quality Policy, System Procedures and Operations Manuals.
Understand and follow safety procedures such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and have a solid understanding of the use of the emergency eye wash stations
Understand and follow procedures outlined in the General Shop instructions and Clean Room Procedure found in the Operating Manual (O.M.)
Read the Traveler and the sketch for verification of customer information, instructions and specifications
Identify the cleaning technique to be employed. (Listed on the traveler)
Operate all Clean Room equipment safely and in accordance with HTH Requirements
Strictly follow all procedures for handling, storage and disposal of hazardous chemicals and waste
Complete the Clean Room sign in sheet each day to document date and time spent in the Clean Room
Count the number of honeycomb parts received and recorded on the traveler
Check honeycomb parts for non-conformances before and after cuts
When using Muriatic Acid or ID Red: check to see if the liquids require refilling, cleaning or replacing.
Perform the required cleaning procedure
Record on the traveler the number of honeycomb parts cleaned
Support other Production floor work centers as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Other Skills and Abilities
Must be able to read standard Traveler form and supplemental documents to perform regular duties as required of this and sequential duties and positions. Ability to utilize specialized tools to measure and confirm tolerances as required.
