HAND FORM OPERATOR I
DEPARTMENT: Production
REPORT TO: Production Supervisor
FLSA: Non-exempt
This is an on-site position
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting production by using manual techniques to bring honeycomb into conformance after a prior modification procedure. In addition, this position is required to comply with all safety protocols to complete daily tasks at all times. It requires hand strength and attention to detail to perform this task.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under direction of the Production Supervisorthe duties of this position include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
The following duties and responsibilities apply to Hand Form Operator 1:
Understand and follow Hi Tech Honeycomb’s Quality Policy, System Procedures and Operations Manuals.
Understand and follow safety procedures such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Understand and follow procedures outlined in the General Shop instructions and Hand Form Procedure found in the Operating Manual (O.M.)
Basic knowledge and understanding of the sketch drawing
Check job ID, customer ID on traveler to ensure it is the same on the parts status tag
Check the customer ID, part ID/Rev, Parts per job # and Rev, customer drawing # and Rev against the drawing sketch
Utilize necessary equipment for procedure i.e. CKGA Arc chart, etc.
Prepare honeycomb segment for ‘first article’ if required
Main focus is returning the Honeycomb segment width, flatness or Arc to conformance
Notify mentor/Lead/Supervisor of any issues/concerns during the Hand Form procedure
Provide support to other work centers as needed
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Manufacturing experience is desired.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills required
REASONING ABILITY
This individual must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
This individual must be able to read standard Traveler form and supplemental documents to perform regular duties as required of this and sequential duties and positions.
Ability to measure with a caliper, measure angles with protractors and use inspection gauges is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock.
