Henkels & McCoy is looking for a highly motivated and effective financial professional. This Financial Analyst role will support audit planning and testing of operational reviews to strengthen the internal control environment for our core business processes and ensure compliance with our Company’s Policies. We are seeking an individual that thrives in a team environment, has excellent communication skills, and proactively builds strong relationships which are essential to the delivery of our objectives. The Financial Analyst directly reports to the Regional Finance & Controls Manager and will be based out of Henkels & McCoy’s West in Vancouver, WA. Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and conduct financial reviews to evaluate key business processes for compliance with established company policies, communicate findings & management recommendations, and ensure timely completion of required corrective actions.
  • Develops compliance metrics for key business processes; measures and tracks exception trends at critical process control points; develops and maintains corrective actions control log and reports progress to Operations management.
  • Prepares high-quality internal analysis and reports that provide evidence of procedures performed and support the related findings and recommendations.
  • Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records, and efficiency of operations for management in an organization.
  • Studies accounting and statistical records of departments, and interviews individuals to ensure the recording of transactions and compliance with H&M policies and procedures.
  • Analyze Fleet Utilization, Zonar Reports, Concur Expenses, Procurement processes, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable invoices, rates, and pricing, and make recommendations for improvement to executive management. 
  • Participates in risk assessment, analytical review, and prioritizing of key audit issues.
  • Provides support for other compliance and advisory activities for management and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Assist with pre-implementation reviews, examining business risk and project risk
  • Support operations in the evaluation of financial analysis and recommendations related to Customer, Fiscal Year, and Payroll Tax audits.
  • Reviews records pertaining to material assets through physical count, inventory, and confirmation, and determines the degree to which they are utilized.
  • Analyzes data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication of effort, extravagance, fraud, or lack of compliance with laws, government regulations, and management policies or procedures.
  • May conduct special studies for management, such as those required to discover the mechanics of detected fraud and to develop controls for fraud prevention

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • The qualified Financial Analyst must possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related business field. 
  • Business Experience - minimum of 2 years including audit, financial planning & analysis, and cost accounting. Project management and cost estimating are preferred.
  • Experience building and designing analytical programs and conducting tests for previously unaudited processes.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Skills - strong written and verbal communication, and excellent analytics.
  • Action oriented and full of energy to seek new challenges but remains focused on attainable and measurable improvements.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willing to travel at moderate levels (10%).

Wage Range:

$65,000 - $80,000/annually
