Position Purpose
Maintenance Technicians are responsible for maximizing productive time for all manufacturing equipment; improving the reliability and repeatability of production systems and to coordinate and assist with the equipment installation and start-up.
Essential Functions
Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical principals.
Servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of electrical or electronic principals.
Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
Fabricating parts as needed.
Addressing safety issues as assigned in EHS management system.
Assisting with the installation and moving of equipment.
Maintaining preventative maintenance programs on all work centers and equipment.Instructs and provides support to production associates in the performance of routine maintenance of their own equipment.
Creating and maintain preventative maintenance programs for all production systems.
Entering work orders, PM’s and all other work completed in the EAM system and submitting daily EAM worksheets.
Creating work orders for issues found during PM inspections.Ordering/replenishing parts used for repairs.
Assisting in identifying and purchasing necessary maintenance supplies and equipment as required or directed.
Working with outside vendors to determine and maintain the proper stocking levels for tool crib items.
Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
Assisting Manufacturing Engineers in the pilot of new equipment; installing and debugging of new production systems.
Programming, maintaining, and updating, and adjusting PLC logic for equipment.
Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Keeping buildings, equipment, and grounds maintained in a clean and orderly manner (i.e, snow removal, salting exterior walkways, light bulb replacement, etc.)
Operating new equipment as required, making suggestion and improvements to systems.
All other duties as assigned.
