- Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment as assigned by supervisor
- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment as necessary
- Assist Production Support personnel with determining root cause of process deviations and machine performance
- Utilize welders, torches, cutting torches, drills, and other tools and equipment as necessary to perform repairs or fabricate parts for repairs to electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical systems on machines or for plant maintenance
- Complete required documentation such as Parts Order Requisition, Daily Log Sheet, Daily Logbook, Preventive Maintenance Log to include tasks of preventive maintenance on equipment and repairs of machinery
- Assist Process Manager, Assistant Process Manager, Jobsetter, and Process Engineer with investigation to determine assignable causes of process variation
- Assist with production start up or shut down, as required
- Other duties may be assigned
- Minimum one-year experience or training in industrial maintenance, preferred
- Apply commonsense understanding to carry out multi-step instructions
- Navigate through standardized situations with multiple variables encountered on the job
- Add and subtract two-digit numbers, perform basic multiplication and division
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Ability to recognize two- or three-syllable words, print and speak simple sentences
- Hydraulic or Electrical System certifications, preferred
- Forklift, Scissor Lift, and Crane License/Certification required
- High School Diploma Required.
- Technical Certifications, Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Maintenance or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Communicate orally, hear at a conversational level, and distinguish between basic shades of color
- Frequently required (25-75% time on job) to stoop, stand and walk
- Frequently required to climb stairs, occasionally required (up to 25% time on job) to climb up to 10-15 feet on ladders and work on scaffolding at similar heights.
- On a frequent basis you will be required to use hand tools.
- Frequently (25-75% time on job) will be required to bend and rotate and reach overhead.
- Frequently required to lift, carry and/or move up to 10 pounds a distance of 100 feet and occasionally be required to lift, carry and/or move 35-50 pounds a similar distance.
- Occasionally required to pull and or/push a fully loaded 1,200-pound capacity pallet jacket a distance of 25 feet.
- Frequently work (25-75% time on job) indoors in a climate-controlled manufacturing area and on occasion (up to 25% time on job) work outside.
- Frequently work with machinery and moving parts and around material handling equipment.
- On rare instances (no more than 5% time on job) you will be exposed to irritants fumes and disagreeable odors resulting from plastic injection molding operations.
- May be required to wear protective eyewear, ear protection and other personal protective equipment as job tasks warrant.
