- Oversee and manage warehouse and distribution operations.
- Responsible for ensuring daily processes and operations run smoothly & efficiently on the floor.
- Work directly with the associates and leads, supervising the daily workflow and associate’s activity.
- Develop, train, and retain key distribution associates to continually make the organization stronger.
- Focus on personnel development by providing a great training program, consistent process discipline, and clearly defined expectations.
- Assign workloads and daily tasks to associates and leads.
- Manage productivity of team and provide direct feedback to associates.
- Manage and oversee inventory levels, ensuring efficient inventory flow and optimal space utilization.
- Ensure inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained.
- Keep up to date on the latest federal and state safety regulations.
- Ensure that facility equipment is properly maintained.
- Monitor & ensure the safe use of warehouse equipment.
- Recognize, isolate, and eliminate safety hazards.
- Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads.
- Participate in staff meetings and attend other meetings, training sessions and seminars as required.
- Ensure that the cleanliness of the warehouse meets or exceeds guidelines.
- Maintain accuracy of all data reported, consistently evolve existing reports and create new ones as needed.
- Review and oversee receiving and shipment procedures.
- Assist with deliveries and shipments where required.
- 3 years of experience in a management/supervisor role.
- Prior warehouse or distribution industry experience required.
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict.
- Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening.
- Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities.
- Exceptional time management and organization skills.
- Comfortable using inventory management software and other organizational computer applications.
- Personal integrity and initiative.
- Requires prolonged sitting, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.
- Frequent lifting of 50 pounds.
- Availability to work extended hours as needed.
