Essential duties and responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

• Completes monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including prepaid expenses, inventory, fixed assets, intercompany accounts and accrued taxes.
• Maintains fixed asset sub-ledger and completes monthly depreciation/amortization schedules and journal entries.
• Assists with financial analysis prior to executive management review of financial statements for each month end close.
• Leads research and analysis of accounting-related issues and projects.
• Reports and initiates payment of monthly sales and use tax to appropriate authorities.

Requirements

Education, Experience, and Desired Skills for Staff Accountant: Degree in Accounting or Finance with 3-5 years of accounting experience. Good understanding of accounting principles, business practices, and accounting systems (NetSuite preferred).

Required Competencies of the Staff Accountant:

• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
• MS Excel - Intermediate level of knowledge
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Project management skills
