GENERAL MANAGER DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY

The General Manager will oversee total operations of Helium Alpharetta Comedy Club including building sales and all other aspects of profits and loss, hiring and training of both management and hourly staff, daily execution of safety/sanitation, quality food preparation, alcohol serving, and guest service. This person is responsible for cleanliness, general repairs, and building/equipment maintenance, whether on-premise or off. The GM is responsible for communicating and administering all company policies and procedures, as well as all payouts for comics.

DAILY OPERATIONS

• Lead and engage a team of 35 staff including operations manager, keyholders, and kitchen manager
• Manage all club operations including scheduling, planning, and forecasting while upholding standards, product quality, and cleanliness
• Optimize profits by ensuring that labor is scheduled efficiently and food, beverage, and supplies are ordered to maintain proper inventory levels
• Ensure customer satisfaction
• Responsible for compliance with OHSA, local health and safety codes, and liquor boards, as well as company safety and security policies.
• Emphasize safety and security and ensure staff is properly trained to handle situations safely
• Maintains proper certifications as ServeSafe Manager and any additional certifications required by the city and state, while ensuring all staff is properly trained and certified
• Review cost of goods quarterly and ensure proper pricing for all food and beverage items and that menus are current
• Ensure all logs are properly completed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

About You:

• You have at least 2 years of restaurant or venue management experience
• You’re professional AND always on time
• You have a college degree OR a combination of practical experience & education
• You're a multi-tasker who can handle a sold-out Saturday night with enthusiasm.
• You have a great attention to detail.
• You're tech-savvy & not afraid of the computer. Familiar with building documents & spreadsheets

Additional Items:

• Our General Manager will report to the Senior Operation Management Team and will be asked to meet certain metrics leading to performance bonuses
• Typical work week is roughly 40-50 hours
• Position requires prolonged standing & bending, and you will need to lift supplies weighing 40lbs or more
