Description

Heidtman Steel Products is seeking an experienced Human Resource Generalist to join our team in Butler, IN. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building a strong workplace culture and will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
  • Oversee recruitment and hiring processes
  • Conduct new employee orientations and onboarding, including exit interviews
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws
  • FMLA administration for office and production employees on-site
  • Maintain accurate employee records and files
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
  • 5 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of building a strong workplace culture
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
