HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
HEARTLY HOUSE
This newly created position requires a positive, inquisitive candidate who loves streamlining processes, creative problem solving and working in a trauma informed, collaborative environment. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the daily operations of human resources and ongoing maintenance and development of human resources and employee success best practices and management of ongoing employe professional development. This is a full time, 35 hours/week, exempt position reporting to the Deputy Director. The salary range is $67,500 - $70,000 annually, plus benefits.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
· Maintain personnel files of a multi-disciplinary staff of over 70
· Generate official internal documents such as offer letters, HR forms, job descriptions, payroll schedule, paid holiday list, staff directories, etc.
· In collaboration with Program Directors, maintain and ensure standardization of job descriptions.
· Assist Leadership with recruiting (e.g., post open positions, schedule interviews, conduct background checks).
· Manage Learning Management System, develop and implement best practices for ongoing and continuing employee training and development
· Oversee the monitoring of staff professional development, tracking trainings and conferences attended by each staff member
· Research and recommend employee benefit plans and policies; maintain relationships with providers/brokers.
· New hire onboarding and training on HR policies and internal procedures.
· Payroll processing.
· Assist Leadership with employee evaluations.
· Assist Leadership with disciplinary action and employee grievances.
· Process terminations.
· Maintain an open-door policy that encourages employees to discuss, address and resolve concerns
· Create and maintain HR/employee policies and procedures.
· Assure Heartly House is compliant with federal and state regulations, relative, but not limited, to safe work environments, labor regulations, etc.
· Complete Heartly House on-the-job training within initial employment period.
· Other duties as assigned by the Deputy Director or Executive Director.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· BA in Business, Human Resources, Liberal Arts, or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience
· Minimum five years human resources experience, non-profit sector preferred
· Experience with Quickbooks is preferred
· Experience handling confidential communications and information.
· Attention to detail is essential
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
· Proficiency in Microsoft suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS
