Hearthside Foods Talent Acquisition Team is Hiring a Human Resource Manager Near North Sioux, SD

The Human Resource Manager will be working at one of our larger bakeries in the US located North Sioux City, SD. The plant is 350k sq. ft. and operates 8 highly automated production lines. At this plant, we produce cookies for multiple customers; including the Girl Scouts, Kroger, Walmart and many others. This facility has two unions, the BCTGM and Teamsters. They will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives to support the overall business objectives and ensure a positive and productive work environment. The HR Manager will collaborate with various departments to attract, retain, and develop a talented workforce while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.The HR Manager will:Promote a positive work culture by fostering employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-beingOversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures Collaborate with department managers to identify training and development needs and design effective programsManage the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processesLead the Performance Management process to identify and account for varying levels of performance and lead the Talent Management process to build bench strength for succession planning.Oversee community outreach efforts to become the employer of choice in the local area through such activities as: donations, fundraising and business networkingLead all plant employee recognition efforts to build upon the employer-employee relationship and to foster employee engagement.Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and company policiesMaintain accurate HR records and prepare reports on HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR initiativesStay informed about industry trends and best practices in HR managementHandle employee inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional mannerConduct investigations related to HR matters as neededPerform other duties assigned as neededQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred; but will consider experience in lieu of educationMinimum of 5 years of experience as HR Generalist preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environmentUnion experience is requiredStrong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practicesExcellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skillsProven experience in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and performance managementAbility to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretionStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesProficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office SuiteHighest level of integrityDemonstrated track record of resultsExcellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skillsSense of urgency and ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-energy environmentAbility to develop and maintain strong, effective internal business partner relationships #LI-SS1
