Health1st LLC seeks compassionate individuals as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join a growing, forward-thinking organization. DSPs provide supportive services to individuals who may be intellectually or developmentally challenged, requiring the assistance of another person to live everyday life to the fullest. Attributes of a DSP include patience, empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and detailed knowledge of best care practices.

DSPs support the individual in ways that might include but are not limited to:

• Run errands, help individuals around their homes, counsel individuals on independent living, and administer prescribed medication.
•  Assists individuals in dressing, bathing, and completing basic hygiene tasks as needed.
• Support individuals with any required rehabilitation exercises.
• Ensures that individuals take their prescribed medications.
• Prepares meals that adhere to special dietary considerations.
• Assists with light cleaning and housework.
• Teachers support developmentally challenged adults on how to adopt necessary independent living skills.
• It helps adults with developmental disorders learn to make a budget and complete basic household tasks.
• Collaborate with family and other service team members to discuss individual needs to facilitate the highest potential for accomplishing everyday living.
• Serves as a companion for older people who live alone.
• Organizes activities for Individuals

Education and Experience

• High school diploma and ability to document
• Associate degree or certification as a Nurse's Aide or Nursing Assistant preferred
• Preferred if Certified by ODP for Medication Administration- We will train.
