About the Role

As a Network Security Engineer, you will help ensure that our platform minimizes risks from network attacks, and that our systems comply with our security policies. You will collaborate with other teams to design, implement, and deploy mitigations across our software components and network layer.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure our network infrastructure is secure through analysis, and keeping software up to date.
• Develop tools and systems that automate aspects of our network infrastructure.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnosis of network related issues.
• Work with the engineering and operations team on required tasks.
• Participate in change management and capacity management process.
• Create, distribute, analyze and evaluate network management performance reports.
• Create and present Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documents when requested.
• Participate in audit and compliance assessments performed internally.
• Be a key player in network-related incidents.

Where you'll be working

Fully remote work is ok for this role, or we have an office in Sunnyvale, CA if you choose to work there.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in the computer field or similar.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Programming experience in C, Python, Go or other similar languages.
• Experience working with Security Products in Physical and Cloud environments.
• Tech Savvy – Ability and passion for learning new technology and tools.
• Understanding of networking and operating systems, such as TCP/IP, TLS.
• Discipline – The discipline to actively manage internal IT projects, while balancing daily tasks.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Experience with UNIX OS’s such as Linux or macOS.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to work effectively on a team.
• The ability to provide critical information in a clear, concise, and efficient manner.
