Haynes Furniture Company is Hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk (AP) Near Virginia, VA

Overview

We have KING SIZE career opportunities at Haynes Furniture! 

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for verification of accuracy and validity of expense invoices. You will process invoices for payment and maintain files of all paid invoices. Interested employees should have good communication and analytical skills with proficiency in data entry.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively and consistently reviews all expense invoices in accordance to department procedures for appropriate supporting documentation, proper G/L coding and store location
  • Scan invoices received in AP into accounting system
  • Enter invoice data into accounts payable system
  • Print & distribute manual checks & regular check run weekly
  • Reconcile vendor statements and handle all research on vendor accounts
  • Process and Reconcile Employee Travel Advances & Petty Cash
  • Upload and reconcile employee reimbursement from Concur
  • Reconcile monthly credit cards
  • Maintain, update and submit 1099s to the IRS and vendors
  • Assist with audits

Qualifications

Professional in dealing with vendors, able to work as a team player, flexible. Must be able to handle fast paced environment and heavy workload; excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Accuracy of work a must.

  • Education: High school diploma
  • Experience: One-year accounts payable experience
