Candidates must demonstrate a deep understanding of evidence-based practices for teaching grades 6 - 8 literacy and math. The ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers on the implementation of core, supplemental, and intensive intervention approaches for reading/writing and math in grades 6 - 8 is required. Provide small group or individual intervention for the most at risk students.
Letters of application, recommendations and/or references, ability to work as a team member and previous experience with elementary/middle school age children is preferred. All applicants must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL). Reading Specialist endorsement is preferred and the ability to speak a foreign language.
Salary: As per current teacher salary schedule
