Hawk Mountain Council, Boy Scouts of America is Hiring a Receptionist/Office Support Near Reading, PA

The Hawk Mountain Council, Boy Scouts of America, is dedicated to serving others and helping youth grow. We work with amazing community partners and volunteers to deliver program to over 2500 youth weekly. Whether it is at our top-notch Scout Ranch, at special events throughout the community, or local weekly meetings, our youth are learning about character development, citizenship training, leadership, and personal fitness at every step of our journey.

Specific Job Responsibilities Include;

  • Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing calendars
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, and reports
  • Maintain and update filing systems, both physical and electronic
  • Assist with order entry and data entry tasks
  • Coordinate and assist with event planning and logistics
  • Provide customer support
  • Utilize computerized systems and software to perform tasks efficiently
  • Help update and develop Standard Operating Procedures to increase office efficiency

Idea candidates will have;

  • Team lead experience
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email communication
  • Experience with data entry and order entry processes
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Previous experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required

We offer competitive compensation and generous time off offerings based on experience. This is a full-time position with regular office hours.
