The Engineering Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the engineering department by creating and maintaining documentation manuals and other technical writing assignments. This position also generates bill of materials (BOMs) and enters them into the ERP system. The Engineering Support Specialist is the primary CAD Administrator and is responsible for managing CAD licenses, installing and troubleshooting CAD software for the Design Engineers.

Responsibilities:

• CAD Administration for engineering department
• Complete documentation manuals, technical writing and documentation control
• Coordinate logistical timeline of parts by communicating with the purchasing department, engineering and our suppliers
• BOM Entries (BOM compare)
• Design and detailing

Education & Experience:

• 2 year technical degree with emphasis on mechanical design or relevant experience
• 3 years of CAD administration.
• Ability to develop technical documents and read blueprints
• Critical thinking and attention to detail.
• Exposure to LEAN and 6 Sigma concepts and tools preferred. ISO experience a plus.
