Harvard Partners, LLP, Trusted Advisors to IT is Hiring a Front End Software Engineering Manager Near Boston, MA
As the Front End Software Engineering Manager you will be leading our front-end development team and work closely with our product and design teams to ensure we deliver a seamless user experience for our customers. Ideal Candidates are hands-on technical leaders with a passion for creating beautiful, user-friendly web applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop visually appealing and intuitive web applications that are user-friendly.
- Lead and guide a team of front-end developers by providing mentorship, feedback, and support to help them grow and progress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and design, to design and implement new features and upgrades for our web applications.
- Coordinate closely with the back-end engineering team to ensure that front-end code integrates seamlessly and performs well.
- Act as a technical manager who is also involved in architecture, code reviews, bug fixes, and feature development as needed.
- Keep up to date with new trends and best practices in front-end web development to promote technical excellence.
- Supervise the migration of our legacy platform to ReactJS.
- Apply your e-commerce expertise to create compelling user experiences for our customers.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in front-end web development and 2 years of experience in a managerial role.
- Proven experience leading teams, managing projects, and delivering high-quality products on time.
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, jQuery, and related front-end technologies.
- Proven hands-on development experience of standard frameworks and technologies such as Java, Spring Framework/Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Microservices, JPA/Hibernate, Oracle, SQL, page templating, caching, and content management systems. Familiarity with site performance optimization using a variety of tools.
- Experience with SEO.
- Experience supporting a legacy platform while effectively migrating to ReactJS and developing and supporting e-commerce applications.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and project management tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for learning and staying current with the latest technologies and trends.
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch/Kibana a plus.
- Some familiarity/experience with Java, Spring Framework/Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Microservices, JPA/Hibernate, Oracle, SQL, page templating, caching, content management systems, HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, React, Responsive web.
