As the Data/Project Analyst, you will use your strong expertise in MS Excel and data analytics to interpret, summarize, and organize data (VLookups, Pivot tables, complex macro formulas) to communicate info to high level management. In this role, you will be responsible for providing project support to IT staff in the implementation of time entry coding, time entry reporting, financial project analysis, as well as supporting the IT department with coordination and support. Ideal candidates have strong interpersonal skills and can interface effectively with all levels of the organization from technical staff to senior management. This position is onsite in Rhode Island.
Responsibilities & Required Qualifications:
Provide financial analysis on projects on a regular basis, by entering data into the appropriate system(s) and generating the reports using proper entry codes.
Develop analytic reports for clients and team members that assess or quantify the status of the project.
Provide project coordination and support on assigned projects.
Assist the project manager with managing the project workflow/lifecycle to ensure deliverables are met on time and on budget.
Monitors and documents team activities. Participates in meetings with clients and task members and identifies additional follow up needs.
Analytical thinker, with ability to solve problems.
Can deal with ambiguity and requests for change.
Advanced Excel & data manipulation skills (i.e. pivot tables, vlookups, charts, and complex formulas) Solid power point skills – the ability to update presentations independently and at a rapid pace including charts & conditional formatting
Ability to link information from meetings into telling a story in PowerPoint
Extremely organized and ability to manage a high volume of meetings and mange several deliverables at once
Hight level of accuracy as data will be used and presented at an executive level
Good communication skills and ability to multitask and adjust under pressure
