We are seeking a HR Generalist (based in Elgin, IL, on-site) perform functions to administer various human resources programs including benefits administration, payroll, and compensation. Provide general guidance and support in all facets of Human Resources. The HR Generalist will closely collaborate with our Senior HR Generalist and, over time, will become our go-to resource for the HRIS, Benefits, and Payroll.
With exciting global growth and change, we are seeking an adaptable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused addition to our team. 
To succeed in this role, you will be highly driven to:
  • Process multi-state and Canadian payroll on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. Including post-payroll functions.
  • Calculate and process employee salaries, bonuses, overtime and deductions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records related to payroll, taxes, benefits and personal information changes.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll matters and monitors Helpdesk.
  • Manage leave of absence process to include FMLA, state leaves, STD, LTD and others.
  • Assist with annual benefit plan renewal by evaluating existing plans and making proposals for improvements and manage open enrollment process.
  • Prepares and files all compliance reports.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting orientation sessions and facilitating exit interviews.
  • Assist in the coordination and planning of company events within department.
  • Stay informed about changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Generate regular reports related to payroll and HR metrics.
  • Input and analyze data to identify trends and propose improvements to streamline processes.
  • Provide support to Human Resources team as needed for special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills and experience to thrive in this role:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 2 years of related experience in Human Resources.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel. 
  • Personable, friendly, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with HRIS (Paycor or SAP SuccessFactors a plus).
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Must be willing to work onsite.
