Through its core values of innovation, engagement, and health equity, HCPH strives to bring meaningful solutions to public health issues while keeping Harris County healthy and vibrant.Position Overview:Under general supervision, the Education Coordinator LVN will play a vital role in the Immunization Program at Harris County Public Health, assessing and addressing the educational needs related to immunizations within the community. Individuals in this role will be responsible for identifying target populations for outreach, developing and delivering educational presentations on various programs like the Texas Vaccines for Children and Adult Safety Net Programs, and providing training to healthcare providers on vaccine-preventable diseases and vaccine management. Additionally, this position involves advising providers on improving vaccine uptake through strategies like standing orders and reminder/recall systems and serving as a key resource for general vaccine education and technical assistance to both public and private providers as well as the general public.The Education Coordinator LVN is expected to be self-directed with a high degree of critical thinking, independent judgment, and problem-solving ability, and can analyze and report complex financial information to reach sound conclusions and make practical recommendations.Duties & Responsibilities:
