Position: Senior Project Manager

Summary/Objective: Promotes the company mission statement by joining the Superintendent to form a team who works together to create a safe work environment, build a quality project, and keep projects on schedule while earning a fair and reasonable profit. 

Essential Functions:

  • Leads project teams along with a Project Manager and Superintendent. Serves as a primary point of contact for the Owner, Engineer, and Architect.
  • Upholds safety expectations and requirements
  • Preconstruction deliverables, interviews, and estimates
  • Oversees project activities such as sequencing, scheduling, procurement, logistics, quality control, and staffing
  • Oversees critical project decisions such as owner contracts, payment applications, subcontracts, purchase orders, cost controls, project engineering, etc.
  • Leverages Project Management Software (Procore) for communication, documentation, financials, and reporting
  • Project Start-Up Procedures
  • Coordination of all Trade Partners
  • QA/QC
  • Project Close-Out Procedures
  • Staff Development

Competencies: 

  • Successfully managed at least one or more projects and mentored one or more PMs at the same time
  • Proven track record of Safety
  • Ability to develop relationships and build trust 
  • Ability to communicate and lead meetings with Project Team Members, such as Trade Partners, Design Professionals, Utility Reps, Code Officials, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of Construction Plans, Project Specifications, and General Conditions
  • Ability to understand construction means and methods for all scopes of work
  • Assist in coordination meetings with Trade Partners, Owner, Design Professionals, etc. 
  • Understand, create and update construction project schedules. Pull Planning experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team player with a high level of professionalism and initiative
  • Exceptional listening skills

  • Solve multiple complex issues at one time
  • Timely and accurate follow-through
  • Leverage BIM technology
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Utilize BIM technologies
  • OSHA 30 Certified
  • Valid state-issued license, a satisfactory motor vehicle record, safe driving behavior, and adherence to our Driving Policy

Education & Experience: 

  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, including 5 years as a PM
  • Has successfully managed the following: 
    • One or more projects at one time at a minimum 
    • Mentored and managed one or more PM’s at a minimum

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Work Environment: This position is required to work in a variety of conditions relative to construction job site environments and must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, as assigned. Exposure to weather, heat, etc. is expected. 

Physical Demands:

  • Requires work in a variety of conditions relative to construction job site environments and must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, as assigned.
  • Weather and climate conditions will vary throughout the progress of a project. Must be able to inspect all ongoing construction activities over the duration of the assigned project.
  • Requires walking over varied terrain, climbing, stooping, bending and lifting. Lifting requirements vary from minimal to heavy loads.
  • Inspection for quality, consistency, and completeness of work frequently requires climbing ladders, stairs, and scaffolding.

Travel Required: Travel to/from multiple job sites, projects, and offices. Minimal overnight or weekend travel.
