The Project Manager (PM) is a critical element to SCI’s project performance strategy and is extremely critical in its proper execution. A PM is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and successful completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. Without proper project management, the successful completion of a project can become jeopardized resulting in completion delays, poor installation, financial losses, and overall failure. Management of project types will include Network/Structured Cabling, Electronic Security (Surveillance and Access Control), and Commercial Audio-Visual systems. A successful PM will require a very good verbal and written communication skill set to interface with clients, architects, contractors, and company staff. While it is not necessary to be a technical expert, the successful PM should have a working knowledge of each discipline associated with the project to be able to observe and communicate technical issues to SCI clients and project shareholders with engineering support.
