Beautifully renovated Nursing Home is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Activities Director to join our team. As the Activities Director, you will be responsible for creating and organizing a diverse range of engaging and enriching activities for our residents.

Responsibilities of the Activities Director:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that caters to the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents.
• Plan and organize various recreational, cultural, and social activities to promote resident participation and well-being.
• Coordinate and lead group activities, outings, and special events to ensure a vibrant and fulfilling daily schedule.
• Collaborate with other staff members and departments to integrate activities into the overall care and support plan for residents.
• Document and maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities and assess the effectiveness of various programs.
• Establish connections with community organizations and volunteers to enhance the variety and quality of activities offered.
• Encourage resident feedback and preferences to tailor activities to individual interests and abilities.
• Ensure the safety and supervision of residents during activities, adhering to all necessary guidelines and regulations.
• Promote a positive and supportive atmosphere where residents can engage and interact with each other, promoting a sense of community and belonging.

Qualifications of the Activities Director:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in planning and leading activities for seniors is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and their families.
• Creativity and a passion for enhancing the lives of our residents through meaningful activities.
