Position Summary:
The VP of Marketing directs and oversees the Marketing department and supports operations for the Business Development department. The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring effective marketing research and strategies that align with the goals of the business as well as driving employee engagement and positively influence corporate culture. This is in an in office/hybrid role if local to South Bend or fully remote if not local.
Primary Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
  • Participate in the annual and quarterly planning of the company’s objectives and key results.
  • Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy that aligns with established business goals.
  • Through research, conduct market analyses to identify challenges and opportunities for growth.
  • Monitor the market to identify merger or acquisition targets for broadening scope or depth of offerings.
Leadership
  • Build, lead and inspire a high-performing marketing and sales ops team, setting short & long-term goals.
  • Establish and monitor the marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation to achieve results.
  • Forecast hiring needs for Marketing and Sales Operations, building a team that will meet set objectives.
  • Contribute to and present board meeting content with the executive leadership team.
  • Prioritize marketing and sales projects/initiatives, allocating resources accordingly
  • Guide the evaluation, selection, and implementation of tools as well as the development of standard operating procedures aimed at effectively managing and monitoring marketing and sales operations.
Demand Generation
  • Drive qualified leads and pipeline growth through creative and effective marketing campaigns.
  • Execute a digital marketing strategy that grows conversions and improves DA.
  • Lead development of an effective content strategy that attracts high-quality web backlinks.
  • Identify and monitor key performance metrics and investment return for campaigns.
Brand Management
  • Enhance and protect the company’s brand image and reputation through messaging and positioning.
  • Track competitors’ activities, gathering intel to position market differentiation.
  • Build and execute PR plans with media, partners, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Remain on-call as a member of the incident response team for crisis communications.
  • Provide guidance and ideas to organize creative and effective marketing campaigns and events.
Sales Operations & Enablement
  • Enable the Business Development team (i.e., tools, RFP responses, education, talk tracks, etc.)
  • Participate in winning international and enterprise deals meeting our ideal customer profile.
  • Oversee CRM system, campaign mgmt., sales reporting, opportunity management, pipeline growth.
Employee Engagement
  • Develop and build an annual internal theme that aligns with goals and promotes team performance.
  • Work with HR to influence employee engagement as it relates to positive culture and brand results.
  • Collaborate with leadership team to contribute content and energy to meetings and events.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent written and spoken communications, with an ability to handle and “front” public relations.
  • Some global or international marketing and proven growth experience in English-speaking countries.
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills for employee engagement and culture building.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage projects and heavy workload.
  • Excellent time management skills to hit deadlines within a rapidly paced environment.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications with 10 years of marketing leadership experience.
  • Proven success in achieving results with deep understanding of industry marketing channels and technologies.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid knowledge of search engine optimization and digital marketing trends as well as web analytics.
  • Experience with CRM software, marketing automation platforms, digital marketing tools and techniques.
  • Strategic mindset with an ability to analyze, making independent decisions based on data-driven facts.
Other:
  • Willing and ready to exemplify HHIT’s core values on a daily basis
  • Responsible for protecting data entrusted to HHIT by customers or other parties by strictly adhering to HHIT’s data security and privacy policies and procedures, as well as HIPAA, PIPEDA and all other applicable law
  • Speaking and writing English is a requirement for this position
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
