Position Summary:
The Compliance and Contract Analyst supports the legal, privacy and security departments. The Compliance and Contract Analyst is responsible for ensuring that an organization complies with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. They also play a crucial role in reviewing and analyzing contracts to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with legal requirements. This position is an in-person or hybrid role.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the organization’s policies and procedures are compliant with applicable laws and regulatory frameworks including but not limited to HIPPA and PIPEDA
  • Align business team’s standard operating procedures to policies and procedures, suggesting process improvements where necessary
  • Audit business team’s compliance to standard operating procedures and policies
  • Create and maintain business teams on policies and procedures related to compliance and contracts
  • Mange reports of non-compliance to policies and procedures
  • Assist Corporate Counsel in managing incident response, including preparation; detection and analysis; containment, eradication, and recovery; and post-incident activity
  • Conduct first level legal review of customer and third party contracts
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Ensure compliance database management and on-going maintenance
  • Assist in drafting agreements
  • Upload contracts to contract database
  • Maintain contract templates and contract approval forms
  • Coordinate with internal departments to implement and maintain contract compliance
  • Identify and implement process improvement related to contracting process
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field required
  • At least three years of contract or compliance experience required, with healthcare experience highly preferred
  • Experience working in a law office or in-house legal department strongly preferred
Other:
  • Willing and ready to exemplify HHIT’s core values on a daily basis
  • Responsible for protecting data entrusted to HHIT by customers or other parties by strictly adhering to HHIT’s data security and privacy policies and procedures, as well as HIPAA, PIPEDA and all other applicable law
  • Speaking and writing English is a requirement for this position
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
