Harbor Health is looking for a collaborative Chief People Officer to become a member of our team! Harbor Health is an entirely new multi-specialty clinic group in Austin, TX utilizing a modern approach to co-create health with those who get, give, and pay for it, allowing everyone to fully flourish. Join us as we build a fully integrated system that connects care to a better payment model that truly puts the human being at the center.
The Chief People Officer will provide human capital leadership to align the company’s strategic priorities with the necessary capabilities to deliver on critical business objectives. This executive will serve as a key business partner and trusted advisor to the senior leadership team and will lead all talent management efforts as part of the company’s ongoing growth and expansion. The successful candidate will have strong functional and expertise within all aspects of the Human Capital (HC) discipline. This highly visible position will share and lead the successful execution of the company’s overall people strategies and will also lead significant organizational design and change initiatives as the company grows. S/he will have responsibility for all aspects of HC management including but not limited to talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, HC operations and process, talent management and organizational design, performance management and development, HC policies and compliance, employee relations, recognition programs and communication. As the company grows, more strategic development initiatives will be identified, developed, and implemented to support the company’s long-term sustainability. 
Our Chief People Officer's Duties & Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement HC infrastructure (people, processes, systems) with an eye toward longer term growth expectations.
  • Lead the necessary performance management processes and leadership training to continuously improve the performance of an organization by driving performance culture, talent retention and development, and management effectiveness.
  • Improve existing organizational structure and career pathways to impact organizational performance, as well as support mutually beneficial growth opportunities for employees.
  • Oversee the development, design, and delivery of learning & development solutions to support organizational needs using a blend of methodologies including technology enabled service delivery (LMS), self-managed learning, remote delivery, classroom and on job learning as appropriate.
  • Function as a thought leader and highly trusted strategic business advisor to the CEO and other senior leaders.
  • Develop HC plans and strategies to support the overall operations of the business.
  • Serve as the primary strategic partner to executive leadership to develop comprehensive, scalable hiring plans across all functions within the organization to maximize our revenue and growth.
  • Accelerate the implementation of a talent management framework related to performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and alignment with learning and development offerings to enable outstanding organizational, team and employee/business performance.
  • Implement effective and innovative talent acquisition and employment marketing/branding strategies that reflect the organization’s culture and attract and retain the best and most appropriate talent while building a continuous talent pipeline.
  • Establish and implement HC initiatives and programs that effectively and transparently communicate and support the organization's mission and strategic vision.
  • Deploy & leverage employee engagement surveys to develop comprehensive culture and employee engagement and retention programs.
  • Build strong connections and communication lines among employees of all levels.
    Establish and refine our People-related company policies and procedures and ensure that organization is compliant with all applicable employment laws across several states.
  • Ensure employees feel empowered in all aspects of their employment, including coordinating and streamlining future team members' visa processes.

Successful Chief People Officer’s will have:

  • 10 years progressive human capital leadership roles
  • Demonstrated success building out an HC function from the ground up within a fast-paced, high performance focused business.
  • Energized by developing and implementing HC programs and processes for long term
    growth, serving as a well-rounded HC leader to an employee population that will continue to scale at a rapid pace.
  • Expertise in developing programs for the lifecycle of an employee including hiring plans, talent acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, engagement/retention, performance management, leadership training, and succession planning.
  • Able to turn talent programs into an instrument of business transformation that advances strategy, develops agile leaders, and continuously enhances the culture.
  • Build and manage an HC team which provides a high level of internal customer service and support and ensures that the HC department is a trusted resource.
  • Illustrated success in the role of trusted advisor to the CEO and other business leaders on a variety of topics and issues related to human capital.
  • Possesses broad business perspectives and a strategic mindset as a business leader, preferably in high growth VC or private equity backed companies.
  • A confident self-starter with direct and diplomatic communication skills who is not afraid to be honest and direct while also demonstrating empathy and objectivity.
  • Exceptionally effective at articulating human capital and human resources needs and plans to the Executive Leadership team and the Board.
  • Unquestionable integrity and reputation, with a track record of delivering results while maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct.

Physical Requirements of the role include:
  • Travel to other offices may be required up to 15%.
