Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the team, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations
- Maintain and update filing systems, both electronic and physical
- Assist with budgeting and financial management tasks, such as tracking expenses and processing invoices
- Conduct research and compile data for various projects and reports
- Coordinate and organize company events and meetings
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries in a professional manner
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with HR tasks, such as onboarding new employees and maintaining employee records

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications
- Knowledge of governmental accounting principles is preferred
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero or Sage is a plus
- Basic understanding of tax regulations and financial statements
- Ability to perform general ledger reconciliation and handle accounts receivable tasks
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
