Senior Accountant

Position Summary:

This position will report to the Corporate Financial Reporting Manager and will be responsible for assisting the Corporate Accounting Department in preparing financial statements required for external reporting. The work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare periodic financial statements required for external reporting.
• Collects and analyzes financial data, ensuring that all reporting follows FASB and GAAP reporting guidelines.
• Consolidates entries and accounts to be utilized in financial statements.
• Prepares internal reports as required. Research accounting rules and regulations and makes recommendations regarding company policy.
• May provide support and assistance to external auditors.
• Will report to the Corporate Financial Reporting Manager.
• Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
• Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.

Requirements:

• 2 -3 years of public accounting experience
• CPA preferred
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate financial data
• Experience with Caseware (or similar software) highly preferred
• Experience with Management Reporter (or similar software) and mapping accounts highly preferred
• Strong Excel and data processing skills.

What’s the expected pay for this role?

• $85,000 - $95,000 per year 
• The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.
