This role which reports to the US General Manager with a dotted line reporting to the VP of Finance. The person will provide leadership across the in order to ensure finance deliverables are prepared in an accurate and timely basis. It will also involve leading operational finance activities, enhancements and projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Leading finance and operational activities from a US perspective, working in collaboration with HQ Finance, and local US leadership team, and other stakeholders as well as ensuring project deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and standards.
• Ensuring the consistency and review of related reporting for both internal and external requirements.
• Continuously identifying and improving processes across finance and operations activities.
• Assisting the CFO and VP of Finance on committees, projects and ad-hoc activities where required.
• Responsible for alignment of US Finance Operations (Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables) functions.
• Champion and synchronise best practices from HQ. Work with the management team to review, improve and tighten internal controls and processes.
• Work closely with functional teams to constantly improve productivity and quality of finance and accounting operations, systems and processes.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Provide consultation to the leadership on how to optimize profit margins
• Knowledge in local regulatory requirements and compliance to tax laws

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy
• Ability to be hands-on, multi-task and meet tight deadline
• Good communication skills across all levels of the organization
• Strong leadership qualities
• Passionate to work in a fast moving environment
• Experience in entertainment is an added advantage
• Amenable to work from home and office. Reports in office at least 2-3 times a week
