Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Onsite (Tallahassee, FL)

Duration: 12 Months contract

Payrate : The Rate is open

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead and/or assist Department staff in business requirements gathering sessions (JADs);
• Work closely with customers, stakeholders, and IT software developers to document business requirements;
• Develop as-is, to-be, and other required business analysis documentation;
• Develop and lead implementation of business process improvement recommendations;
• Serve as a liaison with Department users;
• Follow standard set of practices that ensure the integrity and quality of project artifacts;
• Manage the expectations of diverse stakeholders and provide regular briefings to OIT Leadership;
• Work independently as part of a larger cross-functional team

Requirements:

• Availability to work 100% on Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
• Technical or business work experience (3-5 years);
• Experience working as a Business Analyst using both Agile and Waterfall (3 years);
• Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and methodology development;
• Experience with Azure Cloud;
• Experience in business process design and re-engineering;
• Experience communicating and working within cross-departmental teams, strong collaborative skills;
• Experience with Microsoft Visio;
• Experience preparing status reports and providing management briefings;
• Leadership experience;
• Experience providing business analysis in a criminal justice environment (preferred);
• Experience working with Law Enforcement Agencies and associated security requirements (preferred);
• Experience with IT standards in a criminal justice environment (preferred);
• Experience using the Offender Based Information System (OBIS) (preferred);
• Experience with state government projects (preferred);
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) (preferred);
• Bachelor's Degree, from an accredited college/university, in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
