Hand In Hand Development, Inc., CMA is a NYS DOH approved Early Intervention Agency that provides evaluations, service coordination, and therapeutic services for children birth to 3 in all 5 boroughs, upstate and Long Island. Hand In Hand is also an approved Care Management Agency (CMA) under the lead health home of the Collaborative for Children and Families (CCF), and provides comprehensive care management, health promotion, transitional care, and family support for children and young adults from birth to age 21. Hand In Hand Development is the largest CMA in New York and is recognized as a leader and innovator in the provision of care management services.
We have new opportunities for Early Childhood Special Educators to provide home based services in all five boroughs.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide behavior intervention within the home, school, or community setting.
Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary team to create programs and work towards goals listed in the child’s IFSP.
Collaborate with the supervisor.
Required Degrees/Certifications (one of the following):
Master’s Degree in Special Education, Social Work, or related field
NYS Licensure as Special Educator or LMSW
Teaching Certifications: Students with Disabilities Birth – 2nd grade
Initial, Professional or Permanent Special Education Certificate
Qualifications and Skills
Development of behavior plans and skill acquisition plans
Experience working with parents
Strong oral and written communication skills
Minimum of 1 year working with people with autism and related developmental disabilities
Job Types: Fee for Service
Pay: $60 for 30 min session, $80 for 60 min session without DOH Letter
$65 for 30 min session, $85 for 60 min session with DOH Letter
License/Certification:
Teaching Certification (Preferred)
Special Education Certification (Required)
