Job Description:

Primary Shift: 3pm-11pm

Must oversee Front desk schedule handling call-offs and arranging coverage for shifts.

Are you passionate about hospitality and adept at managing the front desk operations of a bustling hotel? We are seeking a skilled Front Desk Manager to join our team at The HAMPTON INN & Suites. As the Front Desk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations, exceptional guest experiences, and effective communication across all shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assistant to the General Manager (GM): Work closely with the GM to execute operational strategies, implement policies, and maintain high standards of service delivery. Assist in administrative tasks, budget management, and staff supervision as delegated by the GM.
  • Shift Management: Flexibility is key in this role as you'll be responsible for overseeing all three shifts: 7am-3pm, 11pm-7am, and 3pm-11pm. While primarily focused on the 3pm-11pm shift, you must be available to work any of these shifts as needed, ensuring continuous coverage at the front desk.
  • Front Desk Operations: Lead the front desk team in providing exceptional customer service to guests. Handle guest inquiries, check-ins, and check-outs efficiently. Resolve guest issues and complaints promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Staff Management: Manage front desk staff schedules, including handling call-offs and arranging coverage for shifts. Provide training and guidance to ensure staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Communication Hub: Serve as the primary point of contact for communication between departments, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration. Relay important information to the relevant teams and individuals in a timely manner.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits of front desk operations to ensure adherence to standards and procedures. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
