HALO is looking for a Information Security Engineer whose primary goal is to screen the company’s critical IT infrastructure for weaknesses and create robust countermeasures to prevent future incidents. The engineer will identify, investigate, and respond to information security alerts. They play an active role in searching through data sets to detect any threats and anomalies. The professional will administer the indicators and metrics that will assist in maintaining the effectiveness of security processes and controls. They also will help maintain all Information Security and Data Privacy frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze security systems and seek improvements continuously. 
• Develop, execute, and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and computer systems. 
• Design computer security strategy and engineer comprehensive cybersecurity architecture. 
• Develop and manage alerting and detection strategies to investigate unusual behavior. 
• Research InfoSec and Data Privacy weaknesses and find ways to counter them. 
• Find cost-effective solutions to cybersecurity problems. 
• Identify, define, and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management.
• Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures.
• Educate and train staff on information system security best practices. 
• Ensure facilities, premises, and equipment adhere to all applicable laws and regulations. 
• Conduct various network security scans to detect cybersecurity threats. 
• Manage and monitor SIEM solution. 
• Manage and monitor EDR solution. 
• Perform threat hunting and policy tuning. 
• Perform penetration testing, which simulates the methodologies used by cybersecurity threats. 
• Assist with customer Information Security and Privacy Impact assessments. 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in cyber security, computer science, information technology, or another related field.
• 3 years experience in an Information Security related position 
• Major Information Security certification in good standing such as CISSP.
• Background in eCommerce, Azure/O365 security, data privacy protection and maintaining ISO 27001 & 27701 frameworks is desired.
• Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
• Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving compliance issues.
• Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including information security, encryption methods, and privacy-based solutions. 

Compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to HALO at the time of the posting and does not include any potential benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The estimated base salary range for this position is between $90,000 to $100,000 USD.
