Sentinel Technologies is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to be a key player in assisting our clients Information Technology Security department. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks associated with our clients increasing conversion and presence in a multi-cloud environment. If you are passionate about cloud risk analysis, mitigating while safeguarding the interests of the organization and provide safe workspaces, this contract role is for you. This is a one year contract position that can be performed in a hybrid schedule of working remote and onsite at our client in Chicago, IL.

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or Google Cloud Professional Security Engineer is a plus.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in cloud security, with a strong background in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices, cloud services, and cloud-native security tools including CSPM, SSE, and CNAPP.
• Experience with security assessments, compliance auditing, and security incident response in cloud environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and documentation.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
• A valid drivers license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Must demonstrate a can-do attitude
