HADCO Staffing Solutions is Hiring a Sr. Event Manager Near Tampa, FL

Job Description:
Our client is a full-service meeting and event management company and destination management company. They are a small and focused boutique company with an exceptionally high level of service. We provide a comfortable and creative work environment and work with very fast-paced clients and projects. They provide a strong partnership with our clients and consistently go the extra mile to surpass expectations. They have a strong team player environment and are looking for someone who has the ability to multi-task projects and events, someone who has high energy and a strong drive to excel and grow in this industry, and someone who has experience in managing a varied workload of projects to include customer events, sales meetings, incentives, user conference, tradeshows, and exhibits.
Primary responsibilities of the Event Manager: This is an opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to join the team as a planner. Under the direction of the Account Manager, this person will support and execute all aspects of the business including meetings, events, tradeshows, hospitality services, transportation, and corporate incentives, globally.
This position acts as the direct client liaison for each project and will work closely with the Account Executive to create successful events.
Responsibilities include:
  • Complete program execution Proposal writing.
  • Site inspections.
  • Research on venues and hotels.
  • Supplier and vendor negotiations.
  • On-site management, billing, and follow-up.
  • Manage staff and maintain accountability for profit margins and the bottom line.
  • Vendor selection and contract management.
  • Oversee the development and management of conference websites.
  • Collateral, materials.
  • Overall project timeline and budget.
  • Oversee the registration for events and have a complete understanding of this process.
  • Schedule and lead weekly project team meetings.
  • Oversee the planning of all logistical needs for each event.
  • Complete project documentation will be created for each event in the form of meeting specs.
  • The Project Lead will be responsible for managing the onsite team also.
  • Monitor and resolve quality control issues, and escalate to Account Executive when and if needed.
  • Final billing and complete reconciliation will need to be prepared.
Qualifications Required: Minimum of (3) three to (5) five years of experience as a Project Manager/Event Planner, including at least two years of on-site management experience.
Our ideal candidate must possess the following skills:
  • Extensive experience working with hotel and meeting facility conference services staff.
  • Knowledge of logistics, A/V production, food & beverage planning, site selection, contract negotiation, and special event planning.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple, conflicting tasks; ability to meet deadlines as assigned; strong prioritizing skills.
  • High sense of urgency with demonstrated ability to work independently and make effective decisions in a timely manner.
  • Positive interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel, including weekends.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and interact effectively with clients.
  • Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) experience is required.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree, CMP preferred.
All staff is required to be fully vaccinated.
Annual Salary: Ranging from $80,000-$90,000 PLUS Commissions/Bonus & Benefits
