Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Accounting Intern to join our team, primarily focusing on assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. This position offers hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment, providing valuable insights into the accounting processes of our organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Accounts Payable:
   • Assist in processing vendor invoices accurately and timely.
   • Match purchase orders to invoices and ensure proper coding and authorization.
   • Prepare and process payments through various methods such as checks, and ACH transfers.
   • Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
   • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
2. Accounts Receivable:
   • Record and reconcile customer payments received.
   • Follow up on overdue accounts and communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances.
   • Assist in resolving billing discrepancies and disputes.
   • Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable transactions.
3. General Accounting Support:
   • Assist with month-end close procedures.
   • Participate in special projects as assigned by the accounting team.
   • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to the success of the organization.
