Job Summary
Better Being is looking for an Accounts Receivable Collector to be responsible for contacting customers to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices and resolving any payment discrepancies. The Accounts Receivable Collector will report to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor.
Essential Functions
-
Responsible for reviewing and releasing orders that are on credit hold.

Researches disputed customer balances and correct any errors.

Reviews the status of delinquent accounts and initiates collection efforts on term, mass, bulk, distributor, and COD accounts.

Prepares statements and communicates with delinquent accounts.
Additional Responsibilities

Required to cross train and demonstrate competency on all essential job functions of the department.

Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.

Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
-
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
-
Demonstrate ability to work well with others in a fast paced environment with great attention to detail.

Ability to read and interpret documents. Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

Great understanding of payment remittances and problem solve short payments, over payments, and other discrepancies.
Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; and talk or hear.

The employee must exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
