POSITION SUMMARY

The Recruiter oversees the full lifecycle recruitment to staff the production facility. This position researches, develops, and implements effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified talent.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Recruit top-notch candidate by sourcing, maintaining candidate pipelines, pursuing referrals, and developing meaningful contact
  • Attend and coordinate participation in local job fairs and university recruitment events
  • Build and maintain relationships with recruiting agencies, universities and other organizations for talent acquisitions
  • Ensure positive candidate experience from the initial application to the final on-boarding process
  • Create applicant pools and talent pipelines by posting job ads on job boards and social media sites such as LinkedIn
  • Maintain awareness of competitor practices, industry trends and recruitment standards
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and trends, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Responsible for process improvements, documenting processes/desktop procedures, keeping processes/desktop procedures updated, and identifying ways to reduce costs
  • Conduct prescreen and final interviews as needed and offer compensation packages
  • Perform specific research as requested
  • Conduct pre-employment drug testing and background checks
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service
  • Must be available to travel
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation (NHO) as needed
  • May provide training sessions
  • Complete special projects and provide back up to other HR functions
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources or a related field or the equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Minimum of 5 years recruiting and/or HR experience preferred;
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and human resources information systems (HRIS)
  • Familiarity with Office applications, such as Word and Excel and popular social media platforms, such as LinkedIn
  • Practical experience using advanced sourcing techniques
  • Knowledge of HR documents, such as non-disclosure agreements
  • Working knowledge of human resources functional areas and application state employment laws is required
  • Knowledge of the full life cycle recruitment process is required
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems
  • Must have the ability to work independently
  • Must be detail oriented with a good work ethic and be able to maintain confidentiality in daily operations
  • Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Available for travel to various recruiting events
  • Must be team-oriented and demonstrate the ability to work with cross functional teams

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 15lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to walk long distances
  • Willingness to work within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to communicate and listen
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
  • Occasionally exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment
