Full Job Description:
Our private practice dental team is looking to add a dependable, dedicated, enthusiastic, and respectful dental receptionist who desires to provide excellent sales and customer service experiences for our patients. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, willing to learn new processes, comfortable with change, and committed to continuing education. Of course, communication skills and the ability to provide services and information to other team members and patients politely and confidently are a must. Experienced dental receptionist is preferred! But less experience is also welcomed!

Detailed Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Welcomes and greets patients and visitors.
  • Present treatment plans and discuss financial options to patients.
  • Schedule and reschedule patients’ appointments and notifies patients of any changes in appointment in a timely manner. Knowledge of Open Dental practice management software is a plus.
  • Handles patient inquiries via email, phone, and other correspondence with manner based on the knowledge of the office policies and protocol and regulations of the board of dentistry and health department.
  • Handles transcription, printing, scanning, photocopying and faxing.
  • Organizes and secures all necessary documents and information while receiving, sorting, and sending out daily mail.
  • Competent in updating and verifying insurance coverage, insurance pre-determinations, and patient registration.
  • Reviews clinically notes to answer patients’ questions professionally and efficiently.
  • Proactively gives other team members a hand as needed to help with the office flow (cross-trained is a plus).
  • Protects the office’s property and keeps the practice clean and organized.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of Blatchford Solutions office systems is a plus.
  • Other tasks as required.

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance, a positive attitude, and good manners.
  • Ability to perform basic math and computer skills.
  • Staff collaboration.
