Why We Need This Role

The Financial Analyst is a critical position responsible for preparing financial reports and projections, analyzing financial and claims data to determine costs and trends, prepares the annual operating budget and other pro-forma budgets, builds and maintains budget / forecast templates, prepares revenue forecasts based on service models, prepares expense and cash forecasting, performs trend and variance analysis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team with a lot of opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate will be a driven self-starter with an insatiable curiosity and high standards for excellence.

This role is hybrid and requires 3 days per week in our Scottsdale, AZ HQ. Candidates must reside within commuting distance.

What Youll Do

• Manage, update, and maintain key business model(s) in Excel, Power BI, and Planful.
• Work with key stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and to build dashboards in support of the organization.
• Actively participate in the continued development of Reporting, Budgeting, Forecasting, Operating Planning for the entire enterprise.
• Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue cycle management, cost of sales, OpEx, cash flow, and capital expenditures.
• Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance, and identify problems and opportunities within the company and ultimately provide solutions that help achieve the business' goals.
• Serve as a backup to Planful software administration and architectur
• Seek to increase automation using your experience with data warehouses and SQL/SnowSQL
• Support acquisition work, specifically financial reporting and analysis. Modeling deal and scenario analysis.

Experience Youll Need

• At least 2 years of experience in analyzing and preparing financial reporting, variance analyses, and ad-hoc financial modeling.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP & all three financial statements
• Prior experience in multi-unit business models required
• Prior experience in healthcare highly preferred
• Advanced Excel modeling skills
• Proficiency with Power BI and data warehouse querying
• A self-starter, able to identify issues and roadblocks and takes initiative in communicating and resolving issues within their area of responsibility.
• Must be a strong team player with advanced interpersonal skills and thrive in a close-knit team environment.
• Ability to adjust in a fast-paced environment and to manage competing deadlines.

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Work location is Phoenix, Arizona. Local residents preferred.
