This is a remote, home-based internship. Full time students from all US geographies will be considered.
Our 2024 Summer internship program is an 8 week Paid Internship that runs from June 3 - July 26 at 37.5 hours weekly. The program will join interns across the country who are supporting different department focuses at American Cancer Society and ACS's Cancer Action Network. 80% of the time will be in working within the given department, with the Intern's manager, their mentor, and the team. The other 20% will be with a cohort of other interns around American Cancer Society and ACS CAN.
As a People Technology Operations and Insights intern, you experience how we empower American Cancer Society's team members through tech, data & thoughtful guidance. This experiential internship opportunity will give you access to develop industry-related knowledge and skills in a professional environment, network with ACS team members, and explore various career paths.
What you will do:
- Research and evaluate new HR technology trends and solutions to support continuous improvement efforts
- Assist with the implementation of new Workday capabilities and provide ongoing maintenance
- Participate in data analysis and reporting using tools to identify trends and insights
-Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Participate in group projects which may include collaborating across People teams such as Talent Management, Compensation, etc.
- Schedule meetings, develop agendas, assist in the facilitation of meetings, take notes and recap action items to stakeholders
-Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
Position Requirements:
Must be available for entirety of 8 week program: June 3 - July 26, 2024 at 37.5 hours per week.
Full-time student, If you are an undergraduate student you have completed your freshman year of college;
Preferred Majors: Human Resources, Data Science, Information Technology
Have a minimum of a B average (cumulative 3.0 on 4.0 scale);
Plan to continue your education in the following term/semester;

Note: an internship assignment may coincide with your last term/trimester as a full time student, but the internship must be disengaged upon graduation.
The starting rate is $15 to $17. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
