Gregory Poole Equipment Company is Hiring a Sales Operations Manager-CON Near Raleigh, NC

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Manages Construction Division Sales Operations team to provide superior customer service, maintain efficient operations, and maximize profitability and return on assets. Works with Caterpillar and other dealers on asset management, forecast accuracy, program management and meeting business plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Operational Leadership
  • Manages the monthly sales and operations planning process by providing superior customer service and managing a team of well-trained, highly motivated employees.
  • Manages Sales Coordinators to ensure machines and work tools are ordered and pre-delivered promptly to meet sales reps, customers, and Caterpillar requirements. This includes management of inventory and movement of units within the territory.
  • Manage Sales Administrators that support proper billing, invoicing, documentation, and paper flow from/to other internal and external groups.
  • Works with the Rental operations team to provide assets and support growth with proper inventory levels and pipeline of machines.
  • Maintains adequate reporting system to establish benchmarks and tracks performance of new machine inventory, work tool inventory, pipeline of orders, and forecast accuracy. This includes conducting monthly Inventory meetings for administrators and managers.
  • Manage Work Tool Champion that supports the portfolio of attachments for sales and rental. This includes sales of attachments for existing inventory.
  • Co-develops the new machine Annual Business Plan for both sales and rental.
  • Use the monthly financial statements to help manage bonuses.
  • Serve as the lead resource for internal systems, websites, and Cat tools within the department.
Sales Administration and Machine Coordination
  • Assist in managing monthly and annual machine forecasts to Caterpillar and other vendors.
  • Assist with sales coordination and administrative responsibilities when necessary.
  • Manages machine flow to meet demand and maintain proper inventory levels.
  • Manages sales administration to ensure sound inventory management, accurate and timely billing, and program administration.
Group Leadership
  • Provides short and long-term leadership for direct report associates to include but not limited to the following activities:
  • Interviewing, Hiring, Coaching, Training & Developing and Counseling
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
A four-year degree, preferably in business or marketing
Work Experience:
Five years minimum experience in operational/service experience, preferably in sales and/or rental and three years supervisory experience.
Physical:
The ability to periodically travel, via car and/or airplane and stay overnight within territory or the US.
Other:
Must have excellent customer service skills. Must have an intermediate skill level in using internal and external operational systems/websites and PC software, primarily MS Excel, Powerpoint and Word; Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable record
